Last week some volunteers and their musician friends organized a benefit concert under the name “Music is my Sanctuary” to help three orphanages in Buenos Aires. The event was held in Bar Gitano in the heart of San Telmo. The goal was to raise money to repair the facilities of the Querubines Homes (orphanages). Three coordinators from Voluntario Global, Kristin, Mercedes and Fernanda, attended the event to inform people about the Querubines project. In the end, the event raised 800 pesos, which is a huge success. The bar was packed and people were enjoying themselves and dancing to music played by three different bands. Catherine, who came up with the idea of the benefit concert, said she would like to organize more benefit events in the future. We hope that we will be able to continue helping other projects in such a fun way!
